Mr. Garrick Dee,
As per your request, here is my humble observation about your photographs.
#1: The contrast between the colorful sky and the drab ship is interesting. The ship is a bit underexposed (time to buy a Cokin P-Series Holder + ND Grad Filter). :D Also, crop the rock at the bottom portion.
#2: The ship looks too bluish and another rock at the bottom is distracting.
#3: Nice BW conversion.

I like the third shot, (the B&W) or was that the first shot? Anyway, for me, it would be better if you didnt cut out the end part of the ship..my 2 cents.

probably a wider shot on the 3rd one would be nicer. :)

although a bit underexposed a like the mood of this photo
the first photo's warm tone added impact on this photo
I'll rate it at three and a half stars out of five!
I like twilight photos rather than those taken at total darkness

Composition-wise, I like the middle picture better. It has a foreground, a middle ground and a background. Would look better if the sun is also seen setting in the horizon.
I agree that a wider lens would add more important details in the pictures. If you intended to make the shots narrow, did you try taking a portrait (vertical) shot? Might be more effective.
My two cents worth.
Cheers!

A picture of the whole ship might be better. Nonetheless, it's a good attempt. Keep shooting.

A fisheye lens will really help. How is it at night? As colorful as the Jumbo? Try taking a shot with a tripod at night. The lights seem to be more interesting...

Nice!
Agree with the rest here, it'll be a good idea to get the Sigma 10-20, it's got a nice ultrawide view without being a fisheye lens, beware though, it has really heavy barrel distortion.

Garrick, are you reading this?
That'll nicely compliment your Tamron 17-50mm f2.8.
