Could someone let me know if this works?

I found this advice from phototakers.com about disabling the preflash on an SB800 when using it to trigger monolights (in the absence of an IR Trigger or a Pocket Wizard).

"Set your programmable function button to Fv LOCK. Once done, tap it once before shooting, the flash will fire a preflash to measure, then will not fire another preflash as long as the "Fv" appears in your viewfinder."

Greatly appreciate the feedback.

 Tried it once, yup true... And works even for the onboard flash... and just as long as you see in the indicator; you'll be fine... Just don't change your working distance though coz that's another issue. :)

I would just like to add that this is also useful for shooting people that are sensitive to pre-flashes (yung parating napapa-pikit) :KO:
