Nice capture there! And a lot of detail, too. Although a little bit scared at that squirrel's 'evil' eye. ;-) He sure looks like he's gonna jump at me!

Lovely morning :) Did some of those earlier too :) But it was too dark so my pics weren't that nice at iso1600 :) Squirrels too :D

is this with the 500 f4?

Thanks Marton.

The doves were taken with the 100-400 and in-camera flash was used.
Tha last two were taken with the 500 and a Sigma DG flash unit with Better Beamer attachment were used. The purpose of using a flash was to compliment the available light and to be able to show details in the underbelly, as you'll notice, there's the absence of shadows in these areas in all shots. The one thing I never expected was the squirrel's eyes. It created a red-eye effect but it turned red and yellow.

Nice shots Reyno!

Early morning's the best time for photography IMO, everything's peaceful and quiet and the light is just perfect. I'm an insomniac though so I rarely get that chance. :(

regards.

Never intended it to look that way Christopher.

Thanks Zandy. I almost always do it early in the morning or after 3 in the afternoon as the light is not as harsh as mid-day and it's easier to expose in these light conditions.
