View Full Version : I love love love this forum!
Marco_Ingco 09-26-2006, 01:10 AM I notice that in this forum, a lot of respect, camaraderie, friendliness, helpfulness, selflessness (and all other positive attitudes you could think about) is being shown to each other :) . It is very unlike other forums where people throw flames at each other.
Could this be because we are using our real names and we cannot hind behind made-up usernames? Something that the Internet has afforded people to be who they are not. Maybe we're afraid that other people might think less of us? Or maybe just all Filipino photographers really have a bond that makes us be what we are?
Well, I just want to shout: I love love love this forum!
Marco
Nick_Espino 09-26-2006, 01:25 AM I love you too, Pare!:D
Kidding aside, I agree with your sentiment.
Eric Dino 09-26-2006, 01:32 AM Marco and Nick,
I agree with you guys and for those whom I have offended in any way in the other forums of DPP. My sincere apologies. I wasn't aware that I was already sounding like a preacher and made some people felt insulted. That was never my intention and sometimes the end does not justify the means. I simply want to help the multi-talented Filipino Photographer and Artist whether they are amateurs, pros, hobbyists, rich or poor and part of the administration. Will be lying low from now on and be more diplomatic in my comments. I do hope that those who are experts in their field do the same thing so that we will all live in a peaceful community.

:D hehehehehe... Everyone will eventually hit that point; 'just got there ahead of the rest... mmmmmmmm... I'm just wondering, what happens when everyone becomes a Senior Member?
Rolando Avecilla 09-26-2006, 12:04 PM Erm, Eric, you are sounding like a preacher again. Hahahaha :D
Anyways, I will take this opportunity to warn you guys... I say what I feel and not what others feel.
If I go overboard, a tap will be appreciated. :D

Nono Felipe 09-26-2006, 12:11 PM Marco, I couldn't agree with you more.
Gil Penaflorida 09-26-2006, 05:54 PM A wonderful site indeed ........
alex_paulino 09-26-2006, 06:06 PM :Grin:I agree with you Marco with everything you said. Meeting and exchanging ideas and experiences with people of the same hobby/profession is a wonderful experience. Earlier, I was making plans for December of going to Mt. Makulot in Batangas with one of our fellow DPP members here KSA. He also has a D50 same here. Hopefully matuloy sana, gusto ko subukan camera ko sa field (or bundok pala :D).
alex_paulino 09-26-2006, 06:09 PM :Shock:Sana magkaroon ng get together of some sort ang mga DPP members & guests in the future, regardless of their camera brands. Kasi napansin ko ang EB only for those with a certain brand of camera. What about a "Generic EB"? Just a suggestion....
archie_apostol 09-26-2006, 10:00 PM This is always a 2 way street; i.e., the members showing respect and decorum in posting and of course the mods being alert when the first fails.
Cheers to all
Archie
Sonny Thakur 09-26-2006, 10:17 PM Made some great friends here during the first nikon eb. hoping to meet the rest of you guys soon. I <3 this site :D
jared odulio 09-26-2006, 11:39 PM Ok na ok nga! Lahat ng sections may buhay except for one (balansehin natin, hindi lahat perfect), Yung events section, walang laman!!!! nyahahaha. Sana may mabait na mag post ng mga upcoming events na suitable for general photo opp, anything, fashion shows, sports event, community events, mall events, photo contests, workshops etc. etc.
Eric Dino 09-27-2006, 12:14 AM Hi Guys,
Thanks for your reply to the thread started by Marco. Anyway, I have a suggestion, why don't we have a Generic Christmas EB? Regardless of what camera or brand you prefer, let's have a get together, I'm sure even those based abroad or in the province are coming home for the holidays. I was based abroad and it is really different out there during the holidays. There's no place like home. We can also look for sponsors. If there's a will, there is always a way. Peace to all of you.
ann_francisco 09-27-2006, 12:19 AM I have to admit, i am slowly becoming a forum addict.. Liking the site, enjoying the posts and the topics... I should be asleep considering I have to be at work early tom.. but here I am, posting..
now I definitely will be needing my corned beef tomorrow...:D
Marco_Ingco 09-27-2006, 02:09 AM It is great to see a lot of people responding to this thread. I just started this thread to show how much I value and treasure the friends I made here in DPP and how much thankful I am for DPP, it has helped me a lot on improving my shooting skills. :)
About the December EB, tsk tsk :(, wish I could go at that time. Kaya lang I've already used up all my vacation leaves this year so going back to the Philippines will have to wait until January. Well, anyways, sana matuloy nga ang EB ninyo. It will be a good opportunity for us to see the people who've been giving us these great advices and be able to thank them personally too. :) I know it will be a great and fun time!

I'm not sure about jojo and the rest of the gang here but the two members I was referring to would be egay from dhahran and orlando from Yanbu. :) Jojo and Jerome just took their vacation last april/may, I think. sana nga merong EB from this part of the world.
alex_paulino 09-30-2006, 02:00 PM Fherdy, correction about my earlier reply, uwi nga daw si Jojo because of the seminars sa Iloilo and Makati. I just talked to him about his plans for December-January. Sorry about that.

By the way, I'm also a DPP forum addict. Lot's of good and helpful people we have here.

Anyway, everything is ready for me for the Yanbu Trip as we did before on Abha II and III trips except for my Autofocus Car(Ford Focus) that needs a new cam belt hoping i can replace it soon before the trip for another 1600Km to travel. Ekskayted ako..!

You can always use "Other Equipment", "FotoCafe" or sometimes even "Accessories", to a lesser extent. :)
