good day!
hello guys. im new in this forum and in the hobby as well. if i may, may i ask you guys some questions:

1.) im eyeing for 400d as my first slr camera, is this camera user-friendly, that a person like me can use and learn from this camera?
2.) as for the other lenses and accessories, what lenses is appropriate for someone like me who is still starting. Though, what i want to learn first is how to take pictures of insects, birds, actually mostly nature. what lense can you recommend?

(last, also, can you direct me to some stores that sell 400ds, lenses, and accessories at a lower price, thx!)

thank you guys for reading and, hoping, answering my questions. god bless!

jr.

:Grin:ang galing ng map mo Sir Randall, talagang detailed, pati locations ng shops color coded. Nice reference for everybody, highly appreciated, the last time I've been to Hidalgo was ten years ago :D that was when I bought my Nikon FM10 from Columbia which was on a promo. I still have it with me for sentimental reasons.

flash first! the kit lens is a very able lens for starters. i lived with my kit before bidding it goodbye for my 24-70 L. i wouldn't have gotten to it if i didn't have a flash (weddings) get the 580ex, you won't regret it!:)

Actually, I made that map for a directionally challenged friend. Hehe. I'm planning on updating that map as soon as I can get the exact names and locations of the other shops.

Anyway, here is a bigger version:

Thanks Randall, this definitely will be a lot of help for some of us here in DPP who don't have any idea about the wereabouts of Hidalgo. I often read their questions "where is Hidalgo?". Good idea of updating and including the names of the other shops. Keep it up.:)

Really? Wow, with all your gear you've never been there yet? I'm the exact opposite, I've been there so many times but I don't even have my own dSLR yet. Haha! :D

Well, if all goes well, I can update the map this coming weekend during the rummage sale.

This is awesome! Can I nick this for my relatives so that I don't have to personally take them there? Actually we already have someone to buy our stuff from Mayer's but my relatives and friends insist they want to go around Hidalgo mismo.:Grin:

dindin and earl... better make your footprints in Hidalgo right away... that is our photo capital in the Philippines. D'yan ako madalas tumakbo at magtago noon pagkatapos ng mga rally-demo dispersals sa Liwasang Bonifacio at Plaza Miranda.
