By the way we can have it in any of our restos you guys decide nalang. we can either have it in mezza luna salcedo st or the new branch in serendra fort. my suggestion is serendra since its located in front of a park. perfect setting to have outdoor food shots with natural lighting. plus the ambiance is fantastic. lemme know so i can make the necessary arrangements

Just a warning though on the prices at Mezza Luna? I love the Chefs Miguel but people might find the prices intimidating?

the prices were revamped. we just had our nikon d200 eb there and the prices were more than reasonable and also depending on the menu. if you want more affordable fare may i suggest sousaku its very reasonably priced authentic jap food but the inerior lighting is terrible:)

that was the old menu ria the prices have gone down significantly if you want i can post the prices for your comparison. anyway i guess my suggestion is that each person order ala-carte. i do not suggest ordering family style as the portions are suitable for one person only

Maybe somebody can also bring reflectors or mirrors so we have many options..:)

I've been to several private dinners by the Chefs Miguel and I know what their food is like - I actually love it. I'm not beyond splurging for excellent food - I just want to know - not just for myself. Not everyone can plunk down an easy thousand for an EB.

However, since it's a food EB; there would be a collection of ordered delicacies presented at the table or section reserved for us coz you are not the only one who'd be picking something out of the menu; therefore, there would be other subjects to shoot aside from what you've ordered... Think of it as a modified potluck; we share shooting and eating each other's food... If you think about it well, you save alot of money actually. And to top it off; the venue fee is effectively free or waived since we are guests and paying guests as well. :Grin:

11PM Mezzaluna serendra. in front of market market. its near the park in the back of main serendra facade

guys a reminder lang a lot of noveau gourmet dishes have been added which are not from the original mezza-luna salcedo menu. they were included in order to compete with the other high end restos in the area. my advice is that if your on a budget like me, lets keep it to the fine selection of the bar menu:)

one thing i noticed and learned from your photos, mas ok yata to use natural light instead of set-up studio lighting for food photography.
i think i'll organize our own food photography EB here in dubai with some of my photo buddies here like what you guys did. early morning din so we could take advantage of the cool morning sunlight, which look perfect for your photos that i've seen.

its still ok to use flash for other setups para ndi parepareho itsura ng food mo, natural light is just the basic of food lighting..:)
