Eric Dino 09-26-2006, 01:42 AM Hi Sonny,
Congratulations. Glad you posted the pics here at DPP. Good that you are now building up your self-confidence. I know that you have talent when I was watching you do those shots. Remember the secrets of Digital Lay-Out as well as Portfolio Presentation and you will see further how great your compositions are. You can buy the equipment you need sooner than you think. For the information of DPP members, Sonny did those shots without a flash, only available light and the built-in flash of his Nikon D70s from time to time with the basic 18-70mm Nikkor F3.5-5.6 AFS-S DX lens kit. This is his first wedding shooting experience. The force is strong with you young Jedi. Happy Shooting.
Marton_Benitez 09-26-2006, 01:48 AM Where does one sign up? :D hehe
I can see 200 f2 in your future my friend :)
Marco_Ingco 09-26-2006, 02:49 AM For the information of DPP members, Sonny did those shots without a flash, only available light and the built-in flash of his Nikon D70s from time to time with the basic 18-70mm Nikkor F3.5-5.6 AFS-S DX lens kit. WOW! Now I am really impressed. Just proves once again that it is not the equipment but the eye of the photographer that makes an image great.
Eric Dino 09-26-2006, 04:26 AM Hi Marco,
That's right. It is not the camera but the photographer behind the lens. Anyway, wait for the digital lay-out that Sonny is preparing. It will look like the work or better than some pros. Until then. Best Regards.
Reyno Rosete 09-26-2006, 04:35 AM Very nice shots and good use of bw and the 3rd and 4th are my favorites. Well done Sonny.
Sonny Thakur 09-26-2006, 09:45 AM Sir Eric,
Glad you liked the post processed shots. Thanks for all the tips and secrets to digital layouts last saturday. Really appreciated.
Marton,
Thats part of my dream line-up. Practical lineup muna haha.
Marco,
:D
Reyno,
Thanks for viewing! Glad you liked the shots!
Pilar Tuason 09-26-2006, 09:50 AM Hi Sonny!
Congratulations on your first Wdding photography experience. I must say that you did pretty well! I can see that you are quite comfortable with your camera and the exposure settings. (no.1 rule before shooting a wedding) Shooting in available light with the proper light direction does produce amazing photos and I am glad to see that you are embracing the experience. I can also see from the photos that your shots were undirected and captured candidly. You respected the main photographer and did not interfere.
Goodl luck on your next shoot and do keep us posted. :)
raul_echivarre 09-26-2006, 05:09 PM sonny, congrats! i can only repeat what they've already said. not bad for a first outing. pro :)
Sonny Thakur 09-26-2006, 06:17 PM Pilar,
Thanks for viewing Pilar! Glad to hear such constructive comments from a noted photographer like you. :) Thanks.
Sonny Thakur 09-26-2006, 06:28 PM Raul,
Thanks dude! Greatly appreciated.
Pro-in-the-making dapat hehe.
john_javellana 09-27-2006, 06:52 PM hmmm... i've got a better idea sonny, why don't you sell your nikon gear while you haven't invested much on it as of now and convert to canon?? reward yourself with a 400D or even a 30D? you won't regret it! bwahahahaha
peace nikonians! :)
John
