View Full Version : Creepy Camera Stories
Tok Paler 09-23-2006, 03:49 AM I know halloween is still a couple of months away but a post on the other thread made me curious if anyone else had a creepy incident while shooting.. =)
I'll start off:
We were shooting in the underground river in palawan. in of the stalactite we were randomly shooting with our P&S. a figure of a person appeared seemingly peering through the stalactites as though observing through somesort of window... we didn't notice it until we uploaded it into the laptop. upon closer inspection, we found two more figures... Yikes =b
we have two photos of that stalactite, one was while we were approaching the said stalactite where the figure wasn't as prominent then, as if pasilip pa lang siya sa bintana and the other one where his face was in full view...
Tok Paler 09-23-2006, 03:51 AM oooppsss... i think this should be on Foto Cafe =)
Mods, amend as necessary please =)
Salamat!
markbrianbautista 09-23-2006, 05:36 AM can you show us the actual pic please:)
Louie Aguinaldo 09-23-2006, 11:41 PM A few years ago, film era, I was doing a shoot at the head office of a bank. We were shooting different departments and executives. By the third roll of film, something strange was happening. First the strobes would be delayed in their firing. They were connected by a sync cord, yet when the shutter of the camera would be triggered, the strobes wouldn't fire right away but be delayed a few seconds. I thought it was some technical problem so I started to check the connections. Nothing seemed wrong but the problem persisted. I thought there was something wrong with the sync cord so I removed it to replace it. Suddenly the strobe would fire on its own. This could have been obviously a technical glitch, but what was strange was that the other strobe which was being triggered by photo slave was not firing at the same time. It would fire on its own, almost alternating with the main strobe. We all were convinced something spooky was going on when the camera, which was on the tripod started firing on its own. We were all shocked. One lady executive apparently saw something because her mouth was wide open as if in shock, but she refused to say anything.
Anyway, after the roll got done and we switched to the 4th roll, everything became okay again. Nothing came out from the 3rd roll.

kaihuang 09-24-2006, 12:27 AM shooting a friend's wedding few years back.. while we were doing some couple's portraits in the museum of san agustin church, i was in the hall way while the couple is up on the stairs leading to 2nd floor..
took a few shots and saw a black "human-like object" appeared on my LCD preview. i deleted it right away and pretend nothing happened. of course the couple saw my facial expression and we left the place right away hehe
it was around 7-8pm in the evening..

his face is pretty prominent. it must have the lighting or the angle at the time but it looked it was turning its head to get a better look at the "tourists" mucking up his territory. =b it looks like it was painted chiaroscuro style

It was good for shocks (quite a lot of them actually :D ) and yes, you wouldn't look through a viewfinder the same way again after watching this movie. It kept me off the camera for a week, I think.

Jovit_Morando 09-26-2006, 09:23 AM yep, i see a goat's head also... which reminds me...i think the goat used to be the symbol of the devil or something like that. The pentagram i think fits the goat's face. In the above pic, the goat was devouring on the human (skull shown) hahahahaha lakas ng imagination ko ata. delikado to.

Carlo R. Lopez 09-26-2006, 11:07 AM hey guys can anyone post supernatural pics? this topic fascinates me
Tok Paler 09-26-2006, 11:30 AM I wonder what it is with camera and the supernatural?
I'm sure those of you who posted in this thread believes in those sort of things (including me). may it be curiuosity or even fascination with the supernatural, but the thing is: is this healthy for a photographer to believe on those sort of things? =)
I agree with carlo =) i'd like to see more photos please! =)

i guess it depends on what your beliefs are. different cultures will have different interpretations on what the supernatural is. in the states if you discussed this with other photogs they will think your crazy. in the philippines or south easta asean region this is more acceptable.
for what its worth in most filipino households in the provinces, the enkanto is part of everyday life:) so catching them in digital format is....................:BlackEye:
