What: Flower and Ornamental plants Shoot
When: March 15,2008 Saturday 3:30-6:30pm
Where: Manila Seedling Bank Environmental Center , Edsa corner Quezon Boulevard in Quezon City.
Who: LightCatchers Camera Club members, Newbie Photographers. ..anyone who likes to shoot and meet people

Getting There: If you are coming from the South you can take MRT and alight in MRT Quezon Avenue station. Walk towards North and cross Quezon Avenue. From MRT to Manila Seedling Bank is approx 75meters. Car Entrance is through Edsa front gate after Waling orchid shop and at the back gate (Agham road beside the police outpost) Group dinner & chika meeting will be around 7pm at nearby Trinoma Mall 5minutes away.


Reminders :
1) It is good manners to ask permission first to all garden and flower shop salesladies if its ok to take flower pictures. Generally, they will say yes... just be courteous with a smile when asking permission. Apply your skill in the art of Asking!!! ex. Wow ganda naman ng flowers(as in flowers ha! baka ibang flower iniisip nyo) chika chika ng konti. Can i take pictures SMILE!
2)Please try to be aware as not to crowd one flower shop all at the same time. When you see 2 photographers already inside shooting. Try other place to shoot. Observe courtesy to the shop owners and their customers. Thanks!

you have bellows? wow... serious in macro? i only read about bellows and saw one on display in hidalgo. curious to use it in the future.

Seriously thinking to get serious in macro:D But seriously(!), I got into a macro addiction phase which netted me a set of extension tubes, close-up filters, the aforementioned bellows, before finally getting a real macro lens!

But the bellows achieves magnifications a macro lens can only dream of! haha... it works like an adjustable set of extension tubes basically; however, the set-up is bulky and requires some assembly. If your gonna use one, you should set your mind to shooting with it for a considerable amount of time! :D No infinity focus here folks! haha

I'm interested to join, would we need special permit or IDs from the place? I suggest if dinner in Trinoma, we could take the seat in Gilligan's or Dencio's where you can take nightscape as well ... or we can ask permission and take shots from the parking top at the left most wing or EDSA side ...

hey guys, no special permits according to Dru. We just need to ask permission from the store folks lang. He shot here several times already.
