Was searching for a good universal JPEG uploader to photo sharing sites when I incidentally found this great app from the Lightroom appreciation club. It's initially available on OS X but a Windows version is under development.

From the website:

PictureSync (http://picturesync.net/) is a convenient utility that simplifies annotating and batch uploading your photographs and video clips to online services—directly from your albums in image-management applications, or files, and whilst preserving metadata. With PictureSync's great ease of use it couldn't be simpler to publish your pictures to web-based galleries and photoblogs, whether to one or more simultaneously! Manage your annotations in your favourite image management application, or you can easily add captions and keywords directly to your files with PictureSync's own integrated annotation editor, including support for geocoding your photos using Google Earth.
