May I suggest that we widen the info base of our members' profiles by adding equipment and gears. I guess it would be appropriate to see this so as to avoid "trolls" from posting comments about products they never had experience using. Even in photo critique IMO it is important so some can give proper advise on techniques and usage.

But Gil, some of us review gear that we don't necessarily own. For example, I have a friend who regularly gets to test stuff for a local tech magazine. The gear that he tests doesn't necessarily end up under his ownership. But I do valule his opinion.

But I do agree that a long time user of any gear would have insights and opinions that would prove to be invaluable to those who need the info. :D

Yes Jo I agree, reviews may not necessarily mean you own the equipment. For regular postings IMO it is important for anyone to check out the profile before putting any coments or replies to some postings. We can see Trolls everywhere not necessarily on this forum and thess are people just out to discredit a certain brand or model or post hypothetical issues. I remember in one of the popular specific brand forum, a guy was discrediting a certain model saying everything bad and yet his profile does not indicate he owns one.
