.... Now i'm hearing of a new magazine "iMag".
Anybody in the know? If this will pan out to be a big segment in the magazine market, I'm sure Kevin Limjoco of EVO and C!, would be in his thinking hat in DEEEEEP thought! What about Robina Gokongwei's FHM / Top Gear (where did they go?) group? ABS-CBN's media group? Funny how this can happen. I'm watching out in the side line, and see who's jumping in the band wagon..........

Abangan ang susunod na kabanata......... :)

Yup. Maybe the competition realized that there is indeed a local market for these kind of stuff, the ones with local content I mean.

I might as well comment on this. When we thought about the photography magazine, we realized that there is in fact a market for this. Many people told us that a photo magazine won't work because others have tried in the past unsuccessfully. Of course, we didn't listen and went ahead and did it anyway.

Do I think Limjoco or Gokongwei are thinking about photography? I can assure you its crossed their heads but they are seasoned vets in this business. They know that they cannot sell 20,000 or more magazines per month in this industry. Imagine what more now with two photography magazines in the market.

I just hope that our DPP readers are supportive of our magazine as we move forward. Lots of surprises from us coming up.

Hi, Nick.

I believe that one of DPP's advantage is this forum. It keeps the magazine alive-- and vice versa.

Imagine just any other magazine that you just wait for the next issue-- at one point your interest in the magazine subsides. With this setup, the participants in the forum keep the flame alive with all the topics that come out and all the wit going around.

Hi Raffy,

Definitely the forum is a big factor and the competition knows it. The competition will also launch one of their own for sure.

Now at the end of the day, magazine sales is what will keep DPP and this forum alive. Surprisingly, we have forum members who use the resources of the forum but do not support the magazine. Its a sad thought but its true, however, that is slowly changing as more and more good word about DPP Mag is mentioned.

I stand by DPP as well. Have the four issues already. Even though I'm abroad now, I remind my mom or brother to get me a copy every 2nd week of the month. :)

I stand by DPP as well... and with as much passion, or even more, as every dedicated member here in this forum... :) The good part I see about this community is that the admin and the moderators listen well to the members... This is the key and should be maintained well IMO...
