Sri Mariamman Temple[/img]
Found this rather old photo from my HDD (about a year old)... Converted to B&W, as usual...
How do you do perspective correction with a 35mm equiv focal length without chopping too much from the photo when cropping? I tried balancing the verticals but the cow or the temple gopuram get cut off.
Note: The noise is intentional, as usual, I added it in PP in addition to the native ISO1600 grain.

Hi David,
I'm not knowledgeable enough to answer your question, but since you put this in the Critique Gallery, may I say your photo brought back memories. Is this the temple at the corner of the narrow street leading to Chinatown?
I like the light reflections on the sculptures and the almost metallic texture they give to the indian sculptures. Quite eerie. Together with the ominous sky, I felt transported to .... Mortal Kombat! Fatality! :)
Seriously, this is black and white but for some reason I see colors in it. Well done!

I can't quite give a critique 'coz all I can really think of while looking at this photo is "it looks cool!!!"
I can't give a suggestion for cropping because I'm stumped by that too. I guess what you can do is simply crop to a different size, maybe something wider, or even a square.
If I had to nitpick, I wish that shadow on the cheek of the cow on the right were softer, and that the sign above the door on the very right would go away. The thing is, that's no longer just processing, but retouching or airbrushing already.
Anyway, I still really like this image, any my first thought really was that it looked damn cool!

@Luis: Yeah, the street sign that was chopped off really pissed me off when I saw it... I wanted to move back a little more but a bus almost hit me hehehe.
I'm not quite sure where the lightsource came from (the light hitting the cows), I guess it must be the street lamp judging from the sharp, horn-like shadow of the left-most cow...
I really suck when it comes to cloning/airbrushing, can you guys help me out?

Found this tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAldUnAfF9Q) might try it to remove the sign...
