Hi,

I hope someone can help me out. I have been contacted by an website development company in Makati wanting to talk to me about full-time employment. Subject matter would be from travel to product.

I am to meet with them next week and they are asking my salary requirements.

Being from the USA I know what I would ask for there. I've been shooting for almost 30 years so my price would be heavy to say the least!

The quality of work produced here in the Philippines by advertising photographers is as high as the USA for sure and I would think photographers would probably have rates near or equal to the USA...to produce good work and maintain a studio like I have seen here costs big bucks.

Truthfully I am scratching my head wondering why they would even want to talk with me and not a Philippine photographer. They found me via my web site.

Thus I have no idea what to even throw on the table to start negotiations.

Any help or thoughts would really be appreciated.

Hi Skip,
I wonder how many photographers this company has contacted. I received the same kind of call and I advised the caller to consider outsourcing his photography requirements rather than hiring a photographer full time. Outsourcing would have many advantages.

Did anyone in this forum receive a similar call? How did you answer this inquiry?
