just finished a 2 day workshop with a really cool and one of the most popular wedding photograher in the philippines; Dino Lara ..... discussing differents topics, shooting methods, inspirations, photoshop techniques, an opportunity to do a live model shoots (which is a plus for additional portfolio) and alot more.... Sir Dino, it was truly an honor to learn from the best!!! thanks

never doubted to fly from davao just for the workshop.... it was well worth it.....

We were very lucky to have very beautiful, talented and very professional models.
Ben and other attendees made so much beautiful shots. Some shots are now displayed at OWG.

This is a great initiative and very selfless act for Mr. Dino to share his knowledge to us newbies. I hope there will be more workshops when I go to the Philippines in either January or February. (Or maybe not, that is the peak wedding season there right?) Well, if ever, if you can tell me ahead of time, I will try to wiggle my vacation time around that time :D.

So detailed and worth attending the Dino Lara's "A Day in a Life of a Wedding Photographer" Workshop @OWG...now i know how it is hard to be a wedding photographer...the best thing with this workshop was you've learned to price your worth as a photographer. Dino didn't produce another batch of photographers who will compete with him, but rather helped them out on how to price well their talent and skill...thanks Dino for sharing...we will surely have another round of Dino Lara's workshop...InshaAllah:)

Congrats Dino! Bro! Though I wasn't able to attend your workshop but being able to witness the results of your hard work documented and published on line and from word of mouth... I know that what you've done is more than enrichment of knowledge for those who attended this workshop... You've just enforced more creativity and molded new artists in this industry of photography; which has the potential of making new couples definitely happy! And that's way too smashing baby! YEAH! :D

i must say sulit talaga yung course. not only will you learn from the guru but also from the participants. there were a lot of sharing from the particiapants as well. very interactive kasi.

Hi Folks,

Dino Lara is a very busy and sought after wedding photographer, when he schedules a workshop at OWG that means his workshop is very important and participants will find it worth attending because of the logistics behind it plus his style of teaching is different. Even during the model's shoot, he will let the participants shoot rather than him competing and shoot among them. I think that's really how to teach a student, because he can observe each one while shooting and coaching them right away. Dino and i are discussing about the next series, either in March or April 2007, stay tuned!

Just an update...we received at least 10 bookings already via one_workshop@yahoo.com , we replied already to this 10 bookings despite the fact that we hadnt posted yet the announcement... we will close at 15 participants only, we will be giving the priority slots to those who will register "on stand by" for the next wedding workshop by Dino Lara (hopefully Mr. Lara will open another one in April:) )...please wait for the announcement this week:)

I don't wanna miss even the first day. So I guess my best chance would be on the hopefully April schedule. :D

The "alaskahan" Mac vs PC and Canon vs Nikon were really fun. As a workshop facilitator, it's so flattering to hear great comments like "sulit". :)

During our introductions, I mentioned that this has been my most expensive photo seminar/workshop to date. But don't look at it that way, every peso is worth it!

I dropped a photogig/sideline just to be in the Mar07 batch. No regrets at all! This WS is highly reccommended.
