View Full Version : INTRAMUROS EB/Shoot - 16 Sept '06
jay jallorina 09-17-2006, 12:13 AM ayos!!! seven photographers and one woman with a video cam made it today to the intramuros "no permit" shoot for dpp members. hooray!
red p, chester l, hanzel f, dennis (bro, di ko nakuha surname mo...), norman a, allan f and the videographer wife, and of course me, jay j.
post your pictures guys! sir norman...let those asteeg pictures from your spanking brand new 7-14 uwa lens shine here! sir dennis, pa scan mo agad yang tri-x 400 mo ha!
medyo nice ang meeting of the cams and lenses...may mga jedi at may isang sith lord...syempre may wookies..este, oly guys din. meron ding contax film cam! ayos! it was fun. si chester buhat-buhat ang 3 kilo na manfrotto, sayang di nagamit. dood, okay lang, work-out!
ANECDOTE of the DAY:
guardia civil approaches the group as we were having our group shot to end the EB... "sir bawal po tripod"
norman: "ha???!! para lang sa group shot naman ito"
guardia civil: "eh basta yan po ang sabi ng aming security director. bawal po ang tripod at costume!"
norman: (takes out his pda phone) "ano ang pangalan mo?"
yadayadayad....
in the end, after meeting with the security director, we ascertained that its okay to shoot in intramuros, no need for permit (basta non-commercial photography okay), and its alright to use a tripod (kunwari for self-timer shots, yan ang sabihin nyo sa guardia civil).
sayang...mukhang bitin ang EB/shoot...intramuros is such a rich place for a photographer to explore!

dave_deluria 09-17-2006, 12:21 AM Glad you guys had fun! I was so near (was in MOA) but I had the family with me.
Can't wait to see the pictures.
After speaking with the administrator, all was well that ended well. Jay wanted our picture taken with the guard in question after everything had been ironed out pero nag-walk out ako. =B) Here's the group photo taken with THE tripod:

Giovanni de la Cruz 09-17-2006, 04:18 AM So, there's a double standard in taking photos in intramuros?
C'mom guys post your pix...:)
dave_deluria 09-17-2006, 08:50 AM I see. So you guys didn't escape unscathed as well. Happened to us as well when we were shooting at the Rizal Monument.
It just puts a damper on the fun when these things happen.

Gerardo Sabado 09-17-2006, 10:27 AM Those are great pics. I'm waiting for the rest of the group to post.
Suggestion lang po for DPP. Maybe we can interview the administrator of Intramuros/Luneta and get their side regarding taking photographs around the area, then publish it. That way naka black and white lahat and walang haka haka.
chester_lacdao 09-17-2006, 10:52 AM waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa nabura ung CF ko

Hanz_Florentin 09-19-2006, 12:42 PM Hello guys! Last week's EB/Shoot was great! Learned a lot from the experts.
Wala pa kc ako sariling site to link the photos I shot. And why is it that I don't see the other pictures, I only see '.' as a replacement to the photo, something to set in my IE?
Anyways, I really like the experience of street photography we've had, specially the unforgetable moment with the guardia civil, sayang wala siyang kuha...
See you guys on the next shoot, invite lng kayo!

Bro you need to host the picture, you can go to tinypic.com then upload the picture and take note of the link and jot it down. Then click add (yellow looks like a mountain) and write down your link.

paulo_artiaga 11-16-2006, 04:19 PM Nice to know I'm not alone in my admiration for the walled city. I went there last June with my girlfriend and we had a blast. I finished 3 rolls on my Pentax film slr (MX). Di naman kami sinita nung guard. Nag pose pa nga eh, eto oh http://images.pindarti.multiply.com/image/5/photos/1/orig/133/000032.JPG?et=5m7qNKF9AunacgW48Aih5w. Share ko lang hehehe.
