Hi,

can anyone recommend an inkjet printer under 3K? not particular about speed, quality good enough to print 8x10 to hang on the wall :), not for exhibits or selling.

basically a good pic quality low cost printer.

I've searched the forum and recommended printers are around 5-6k. I may have to sell my camera to buy that :)

thanks,
paul

yep, i agree...they got affordable inks too...just avoid using ink refills because they will eventually ruin the print head....for printers i use canon but for cams... nikon! hehe:)

Considering your budget and intention, it would be more practical to have your pictures printed in mini-labs (i.e. Fuji, DigiPrint and the likes). Owning a low-end ink-jet for the purpose of printing pictures will be more expensive in the long run (considering maintenance that one will do - inks are wasted during cleaning and has tendency to dry up if not used often among others). Quality wise, print outs from mini-labs are far better and last longer. Anyway, this is just a suggestion.

@jun_staana
thanks for the suggestion. but we wanted a printer anyway for printing school documents, so might as well get one that prints reasonably good pics :)

I agree labs output are good, I actually go to one to print pics
