Okay boys and girls,

Our favorite yearly event is in a couple of weeks already. One thing is for sure, we'd be seeing a lot of DPP members scouting for new equipment to purchase. May we suggest that there should be an EB during Photoworld? So who's planning to go and what date?

I can only be there on a weekend maybe sat or sun. I prefer to stay longer so I can scout and scrutinize the gears and other accessories:)

We can't stop people from going on their most convenient time nor can we stop people from forming their own mini EBs on any date. However, for those who can make it on Feb. 1 Friday at around 5:30pm we can have some coffee at Figaro at the 2nd floor overlooking the exhibit. That's one. The second one will be on the last day of the event which is on Feb. 5 on Tuesday, the SSPS will be having its monthly meeting for February. You're all invited to attend just tell us if you're coming so that we can reserve a spot for you at our venue at Max' Restaurant.

yeah the lady told me that too, i was only able to buy a blower for my sensor. sadly i can't come tomorrow, today was my last day of work in makati, i'll be starting a new one in qc tomorrow.

My first photoworld exhibit. Was there the whole afternoon. So many things to buy and so little time. hehe. See you guys again tom.

yap, that was the case a while ago. queues to the atm machines were also long.

at first, i considered that a bane. later i realized that it was a blessing, as it did help me hold back on buying the gear i have been obsessing about. it's a poignant reminder that i should improve on my skills with whatever i have first, before upgrading.

a DPP newbie who attended our strobist workshop was also there. i think she laid her eyes on a benro at frank tsai's booth.

lots of models at the fuji and annsman booths.

at least, i was able to buy some sensor and lens cleaners from JT.

wow, i was there last night and bought a couple of things.

I saw some photogs, but i couldnt recognize if they're DPP so I just watched them as they shoot the models.

I felt so O/P, I couldnt even approach any of you guys.

I dropped by there last night but it was rather late already ('round past 830). Still got to check out the stuff being sold. Pretty good. I might buy some batteries and a neckstrap. The 20% discount on ansman batts - you can't miss that.

I will be there for the photoworld cosplay battle on Saturday. I'll hit up the DPP booth too :D

Was so busy looking at all the good stuff, taking advantage to the fact that most suppliers are in house, figuring out what are the priorities and not, that I totally missed this wall dedicated to honoring you Joel, as the Grand Prize Winner of the Photo Marathon, now I have to go back there again to look at it, hmmm. Congrats again, nice to have met again more new faces and familiar names coming from this forum.

Oh yeah met Nino C. in the DPP booth, finally. Although if I may suggest I think the booth needs a little more spunk. (sorry for the unsolicited advice, coming from a marketings point of view)
I would put a tarp as big as the wall of the booth of one cover of the magazine, not necessarily the latest just one that proudly shows the "Digital Photographer Philippines" title.
Then It would be nice to make a smaller one placed on a board and propped with a hole in the middle so people can put their face in and they can take a picture of themselves and look like they are in the cover of the magazine...
It would attract anyone with a camera there, and when they show off their pictures, you have free viral branding exercise.

Oh yeah met Nino C. in the DPP booth, finally. Although if I may suggest I think the booth needs a little more spunk. (sorry for the unsolicited advice, coming from a marketings point of view)
I would put a tarp as big as the wall of the booth of one cover of the magazine, not necessarily the latest just one that proudly shows the "Digital Photographer Philippines" title.
Then It would be nice to make a smaller one placed on a board and propped with a hole in the middle so people can put their face in and they can take a picture of themselves and look like they are in the cover of the magazine...
It would attract anyone with a camera there, and when they show off their pictures, you have free viral branding exercise.

Was so busy looking at all the good stuff, taking advantage to the fact that most suppliers are in house, figuring out what are the priorities and not, that I totally missed this wall dedicated to honoring you Joel, as the Grand Prize Winner of the Photo Marathon, now I have to go back there again to look at it, hmmm.
