Hi, i've just acquired an OM10,but without it's manual adapter. The auto setting fires but i'm quite unsure if how to use it effectively when i load up film in it.Since the shutter speed is constant, how can i able to take pictures under various lighting conditions. Anyone to help me ,please advice. Thanks

An OM10 operates in aperture-priority automatic without the manual adapter. Thus you set the aperture and it should adjust the shutter speed accordingly.

Hi Mike! yes, if you do not have the manual adapter on the OM 10 you can only use aperture priority, means that you just have to select you desire aperture then the speed will adjust automatically. all you have to do is read the metering at the left side of your viewfinder. it hard to look for a manual adapter since the stores would not sell it separetly, but you can try to look for one because that's the only key to control your OM10 manually

By the way, what batteries would u recommend nga pla to use for this? kc last tym yung isang Om10 ko mabilis mag drain ng batteries, then uminit yung cover nya after a minute or two...then the shutter got stucked! i don't know why it happened.Ala namang moist yung battery compartment nya.
Help po ulit..=(

the shutter will get stuck if the battery is already drained. im using the normal battery lng for my OM 10 before, but I did not encounter overheating.
