I know the SEA Games were last year, but it was great opportunity to cover a multitude of sports. Share your shots and what your learnings from shooting each event were.

I wish I had a faster lens...:( ... and used a higher ISO... I was so excited to watch international competition that I totally forgot about setting it higher.

Thanks, Nono.

I'd give a lot to get a similar chance and correct my errors.

I love what you did with the Myanmar goal tender shot. Black and white had such a great effect on the shot.

inaamag na yung collection ko from the SEA games.
I thought there was a book going to be done?

here are some of my badminton shots. I tried shooting from the bleachers as well, but it was rather too far for me.

Identifying an ideal spot to take photos was important since you weren't alllowed to move around the area too much during the actual matches. It was my first time to cover fencing, but after the first few rounds, you get the hang of how the event goes.

Hi Cleober,

The images didn't link. Did you try using the image tag icon (the pic with the little mountain) in the reply function?

aing and candelario winning the gold and silver... i forget which event..
one thing i learned was that to be a sports photographer, you have to be fit as well. fit enough to run 100 meters while changing CF cards and lenses to chase the athletes who decided to run off the opposite direction. i remember doing this alongside lyn rillon of inquirer, who was carrying a 1ds body with a 300 2.8 big lens attached to it. which she left halfway through the track.

here are a couple of rowing shots from the SEA games.

i kinda went artsy on this one

due to cloud cover, my colors weren't that great on this one. also, i think a pola would've come in handy to cut the glare off the water.
