hi arthur, what would be the classification of a500? is it an upgrade to entry level or advance amateur? they said expect 5 dslr this year. wow.. what an exciting years for alphalolics.

hope sony would release an slr that is dust proof and splash proof like the d300 and e3. i think a700 was'nt. im looking to this specs because i just realize how important this are specially when im in places where wheather is not good or on dusty place.

OT: Talking about dust proof and other nature harsh conditions sealing.

GUYS! Beware!!! You A100 has a hole on the sides of the view finder area!

During the holiday seasons too much party / sweets / chocolates i left my camera on the table and HURA! tiny ants crawling when i peep in the vfinder. OH i felt sad i try shooting on white background and i see no spec/blot on the image. I was happy enough saying its not on the sensor. Thus i confirmed that this small ants crawled from the side holes of the view finder. How i get rid... hhhmmm very very long process...

Last summer a Sony representative that they will have 5 DSLR bodies by July 2008. I don't know if he was including the A100 in that count, but right now it looks like the A100, A200 (although this one is supposed to replace the A100), A500 (the one the rep mentioned that would have a titling LiveView LCD), A700 and the A900. The A500 is supposed to be "the middle-of-the-road" camera.
