There are some wedding photogs who wanted IR on their D200, please read link below it is not recommended. The D70 may be a better option for IR.

yeah i really loved ir on my d70s and had to deal with the fact that it may not be so easy to do on the d200. the d200 is just so advanced that it literally filters out eveything. not good for those venturing in ir.
its possible however to take ir pics. although more time must be spent in pp. out of the box the d70s wins hands down and even better still is the d50. as the gear gets more advanced so does the cameras ir blocking capabilities. nikon should follow the example of the fuji s3 pro which now has a ir mode for taking mono/false color ir

It's kind of difficult to maximize the full potential of our d200...i just got mine a month ago, it's a big shift from the features of the d70 which was plain and simple
