I wanted to do some surfing over Christmas in Bacnotan La Union and San Juan La Union - but the waves were too big and the current too strong for my skill level (below sea level!)

So I ended up taking some snapshots.

Regarding the third picture, is she in ankle-deep water? or do I need new glasses?

yep, probably she's skimboarding... its another discipline, pretty similar to surfing.

those local boys sure could rip! a kid about 15yrs old with a beat up board was catching more waves than me last time i was here huhu
