It's a fantastic flash gallery creator for both PC and MAC. It works well with Porta. I've been using it for my online gallery for almost two years now. It's very customizable and best of all, it's free.
Check it out. Let me know if you like it or don't like it.
tj_parpan 05-19-2006, 12:32 PM I've seen it and I wish I was able to figure out how to use it! If I did a .mac homepage, would I be able to incorporate it? On another note, Airtight Interactive's Simple Image Search is way more fun to use than Google's Image Search. I'm assuming it uses the simpleviewer engine to show the images...

i might be wrong on this one but i dont think you can incorporate it on a .mac homepage since .mac doesnt exactly support html that way. you can however use simpleviewer on wordpress. check out my "blog" at http://www.shockboogiedesign.com wherein i incorporated simpleviewer in the page itself. maybe with the same coding, you can incorporate it in your .mac blog which i still havent tried myself on my .mac.
maybe sometime soon, ill play around with simple viewer and .mac and see if it is possible. i'll post my findings here if ever:)
Dexter Bermudez 06-21-2006, 02:29 AM Is there anyone using Proshow Producer here? http://www.photodex.com/
Pilar Tuason 06-21-2006, 10:56 AM Hi Dexter,
To answer your question on a different thread, if I do a slide show on site on the wedding reception, I use Iview. If you really want to have total control for a slide show though, using video editing software such as premiere and final cut will give you the best control....unfortunately it also takes a lot more hours.
HTH....
dinolara 06-21-2006, 01:00 PM I also use simpleviewer. To do away with XML editing, I use jalbum. (http://jalbum.net/)
Aside from simpleviewer, you can also download other gallery skins from jalbum.net

If you download Picasa from Google, you can easily create SimpleViewer galleries directly from it. Just select the files you want to include, go to the Folders menu. There's an item there called Export As Web Page. Select SimpleViewer...
There's more instructions here (http://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/auto_desktop_instruct.html).
Cheers!

I tried installing it but it runs very slowly on my machine. This is a Java application and like any other Java application (http://www.bayphoto.com/bayweb/pro_roes.htm), it doesn't run properly on my machine. I do not know why. My machine is a Dell with 2.8GHz Intel Dual Core and 1.5GB of RAM. It should work right? Has this happened to anyone? I'd like to try this jAlbum but I can't because of my machine.

Hi Marco. That's strange, given the specs of your computer, it shouldn't have any problems. However, since this is a Java application, have you ever checked your version of JRE (Java Runtime Environment)? You can download the latest version here (http://java.com/en/download/windows_ie.jsp). :) If you still experience problems, maybe your virtual memory might be unoptimized... Or try defragmenting your PC and allocate enough memory to your paging file. Hope this helps the problems in sluggishness... :)
