edmelendres 06-11-2007, 12:59 PM Hi, This is my first post and would like to also share my macro photos using kenko extension tubes and 50mm prime. :)
edmelendres 06-11-2007, 01:10 PM oops how do you post big images instead of thumbnails?
christopher marin 08-09-2007, 09:54 AM Got intrigue by this KENKO extension tube, so I bought a 2nd hand 12mm, 20mm and 36mm set… using the AF is a bit tricky, you have to move forward/backward to/from the subject to have the AF work… using MF should not be problem. what I got using 50mm 1.8 lens on my 400D?

christopher marin 08-09-2007, 01:50 PM with 50mm 1.8 lens, experimented using the MF settings on 12mm+20mm+36mm extension and 1.8 aperture priority... and got these:

leyo_odulio_jr 08-09-2007, 02:17 PM manugpanlurop,
try mo f/11 and below to get wider DOF. if you are using A setting, you'll notice the shutter gets slower, sometimes you have to use a tripod + timer combo to avoid blurring. I also have the 50mm + ext tube combo and I like it really.
:)
Buddy Venturanza 08-09-2007, 02:43 PM Here's my share, using KENKO extension tube plus 50mm 1.4 nikkor lens with plus Gun, fully manual settings
Exit Date Info... right click the mouse and go to properties.

leyo,
this is really getting exciting... have to try the tripod to get a wider DOF. focusing seems the challenge using the KENKO extensions. but that's the thrill!
appreciate your feedback!
have to find a creepy bug and hope to get similar shots from Jimmy and Buddy. those are awesome macros!

if you are using the 50mm prime, it's recommended that you get a focusing rail, to move the cam forward and backward. but the best 50mm when handheld. just stack 12mm + 20mm then use your built-in flash set to either 1/8 or 1/16 power output. you have your self a kick ass macro set-up. though practice being stealthy coz you really need to get close to your subject.
ito natsambahan ko using a reversed 50mm, we was kind enough to let me get close.
