View Full Version : Problem Connecting to DPP via SmartBro

Hi guys,

I'm not sure where to post this, so mods, move this thread to where it is appropriate. Thanks.

Anyway, I'm having trouble connecting to DPP via SmartBro, the wireless broadband of Smart. I tried using different browsers, IE, Firefox and Safari and I get a "could not connect to server error". Other websites like gmail, yahoo and other websites, I don't have any problems.

But when I use my sister's internet connection (PLDT DSL), I don't seem to have any problems with connecting with DPP.

So, my question is to Other Smart Bro users, are you experiencing the same problems? What did you do and what settings should I use? Thanks.

look up your connection settings. in firefox, its tools>options>advanced>settings. the direct connect to internet should be checked & no proxy server.

My settings are in direct connection with no proxy server.... :(

Any other ideas guys? or is SmartBRO not DPP friendly?

Sorry about that, i blame my impatience. In any case, I did a search and will try to use the opendns.com suggestion.

Oh yes, I am using SmartBro but will look for a resolution and will try first what was discussed on the sticky about accessing DPP. I made a mistake is setting up a new thread due to my disperation... so hungry to be able to access this website... my apologies. Still trying to find a way to remove the thread that I just created!
