I've tried the E510 and compared it with E-3 and the E510 is indeed quieter, but i never thought that E-1 is very quiet compared to E-3.

May i ask how good is E-510 compare to Nikon D80, Canon 400D or Pentax K100D?? Might be interested in having E-510 next year.

yep they are quiet... E1's shutter sound is definitely "quiet-er" than my D80.

sweet!:)

Hi Roy, E510 is a great camera, IS built into the body works wonders and Live View really comes in handy. :D I bought mine for less than a month, and already have 7++ shutter count:Grin::Grin::Grin: can't stop shooting :D by the way the 14-42mm kits lens is very fast, and it can even focus 2 inches from the subject.
Go for Olympus:)

E510 is a very capable camera. DPReview actually gave it a "Highly Recomended" rating and even our local DPP Mag gave it a 93% grade on it's recent issue whereas the D80 only have a grade of 90% (if I remember right) Still both cameras are great. I think it's best if you try both and see what fits your shooting style.

Thanks ... will definitely take that into consideration ...

Hhmm ... does it mean E-510 is slightly better than D80??

I think you have to find out for yourself, go to olympus road show at SM Mega Mall, check out the E510. Bring your CF card so you can see your shots on your PC and then decide.:)
