Here's having fun with a Green Imperial-Pigeon over Subic rainforest, animated in ImageReady....:)
(Small GIF file, needs to load up before animation begins)
4 frames, 20D + 400 5.6L

Love the animation.......what's the technique Romy?
Thanks, Tina and Reyno....:)
It's actually quite simple, Reyno.
1. Stack the images in layers at PS, these should be in consecutive order according to the flow of motion. You also need to select an "anchor point" - this is an unmoving point used to align the layers. In this posted example, the tip of the feet is the anchor point. Save as PSD file.
2. Open the PSD file in Adobe ImageReady, activate the Animation and Layers windows. Here, you can set the time duration of each frame and control which layer is visible in each frame. You can preview the animation at this stage, adjust duration if necessary. Then go to file and "Save Optimized as" - this will save it as a GIF file and voila!, your animation is ready for viewing...:)

Thanks, Caloy and Carlo....:)
When I first played around with animation, I found it amazing that so little information (in this case only 4 frames) can be enough to fool our eyes to believing there is motion occuring. Our adaptive brain is indeed an astonishing super-CPU. Of course, it's not as smooth as a 24 fps clip, but it's close enough to the old Charlie Chaplin BW footages.
