Hi Guyz,
I don't have Photoshop CS3, I only have CS2. I'm using Olympus Master to edit my raw files taken from my E510. The Olympus Master is a little bit slow for me and not as versatile as Photoshop. Do you know any other program that can read RAW files taken from E510? or if there is none, maybe a program that could just view those photos a little bit faster than the olympus master.:)

thanks

you can try using lightroom but i would suggest use the olympus master, the color production in photoshop is not that accurate 'authentic' olympus color.

I use LightZone (www.lightcrafts.com). The latest version (3.2) can read ORFs even from the E3. You will need a fast computer with at least 1GB RAM to make it work fast enough but I like the photographer-friendly design.

how about trying picasa

Yup I tried picasa, I use it only for viewing. I still use the Olympus studio for sharpening etc.:)

I agree. I shoot with 510 and use Lightzone to process the RAW images. It's very easy to use, works wonderfully well, non-destructive, and relatively inexpensive. I also get great support from Lightcrafts when I need it. Great people to work with.

One feature I like in Lightzone Full version is the ability to copy and paste edit settings from one photo to others. In a series of similar photos (say a 3FPS series from my E-1) I just have to edit once.

wow! that's a nice feature bert. i wonder if Lightroom has that. I use the latter since it does DNG processing and that's what i do to all of my RAW files, convert to DNG first. :D

Dex, plus Lightzone is fully non-destructive. If you need to tweak a setting for one particular photo in a series, you can do so without loss of quality. And it does this for RAW, JPEG and all formats it supports including DNG!

i'll have to try Lightzone again when i have time. last i remember using it was before Lightroom came out as beta. :) i use bridge and photoshop primarily, Lightroom only for everyday shots and web.

Adobe Camera Raw is free and the sliders are almost the same as Lightroom.

You can copy develop settings to a series of photos using Lightroom's sync command.
