Wilson (owner of Avenue Photo) in Hidalgo is very accomodating, as always. You text him for quote and price comparison he will gladly answer, kahit hindi ka bibili. Even at 11pm he will text back. He is one businessman who understand the need of photographers, and can explain well his products. Hindi nya ibebenta sayo pag hindi mo kailangan. Dun ko kinukuha sa kanya ang mga gadgets ko, and one time (3 years ago) naputukan ako ng ilaw, may pang back up sya...kaya naman lahat ng student ko sa photography ay ni refer ko sa kanya dahil pwede mong pag katiwalaan. Kahit small parts lang he will entertain you. That's why i keep on coming back to Hidalgo because of this guy, kahit terible mag park.
Kayo, sino ang favorite nyong photo gadgets supplier?

Si Wilson din. few years back I also bought lightmeter mga 19k and I don't have enough cash at that time kasi pa uwi na ako for mindanao. Tinanong ko kung tumatanggap sya ng check and pinakita ko lang mga credential ko at pumayag :) . Ito pa, nakabli ako nang tokina lens ko sa US after few months use lang d na gumagana ang af dumaan ako sa store nila and I asked him a favor if he can help me with my lens. Pumayag sya and I just paid him 500 for the freight charges. Dami na rin ako nDoon nag umpisa ang loyalty ko sa kanya. As Ross mentioned ni refer ko din mga friend ko kay wilson.

i buy from mayer bec pag pinakiusapan mo, he will even deliver. my major problem is parking at hidalgo. wilson of avenue is also very accomodating. so i usually canvass both of them.

the owner of mayer is very busy so his reply can be curt and a little brusque but i'm used to it. have referred at least 10 friends who've bought cameras from him.

yup. sir wilson of avenue is very accomodating and knowledgeable. he eats, drinks, and sleeps photography stuff! i would buy gadgets from him...pero camera bodies siguro hindi kasi minsan walang local warranty yung available sa kanila...

wait a minute...i think i bought my first camera from him...ah yes, i got my p&s A70 from avenue! hehehe...didnt come with a canon marketing phils warranty, right. parang kotse...labas pasok yun sa casa. :D

but ang daming stuff dun, from sensor cleaners to lenses to slik monopods. and their price is really competitive!

Wilson indeed is very accomodating... I got my Sigma lenses from him.

Philip of Watson also... minsan nga lang eh yung mga staff nya dun di gaanong marunong mag-accomodate lalo na kung baguhan ka... kaya I make it a point to talk to Philip kahit minsan antay konti kse madami rin gustong kumausap.

Jun Lee and Frank Tsai of Aperture... wala akong masabi. Kahit na medyo matagal na nawala ako sa photography circle, when I called up to ask for a quote on some items naalala pa rin ako.

Yes Wilson is excellent! But for me a notch above is Frank Tsai of Aperture. The customer service has been excellent. I have heard of wonder stories from other photographers as well about Frank's service. There have been a number of shoots that have been saved by Frank's quick response time.

Jun Lee and Frank Tsai of Aperture! I bought most of my equipment from them and haven't had any need for servicing to date! Now that's something important to me because it only means they have quality products.

I've tried a few other places as well but after a while the equipment broke down or needed to be replaced or something else... I just hope Aperture doesn't get too busy to maintain the quality of their customer service. So far no regrets and all praises for Aperture in my book.

Wilson is a great guy... he really takes the time to explain things... often goes beyond the question / inquiry and the discussion is certainly very pleasant and informative most especially for a starter like myself...

Wilson of Avenue Photo certainly has an emphatically favorable vote from me :)

hmm sino kaya si mr x? pakilala naman :D

for me its frank and wilson..

all my lighting eqpt are from frank and the service is the best in town. he is also one good nikon dealer.

wilson of avenue carries almost everything a photographer needs (and dont need hehe) from filters to other gadgats.. its hard to leave empty handed from his store.

Mukhang Avenue and Aperture fans club ito ah....Anyway, my D70 and all of my Nikkor lenses came from Wilson. In fact almost all of my photography stuff, except for some accessories which I got from Frank, came from him. Now, with the comeback of Columbia, I might get my next body from Anderson.

Mayer for the convenience of delivery, but Avenue for the hands down customer service! Just bought a bunch of accessories last week! Iba talaga sa Avenue... they are extremely accommodating especially since newbie palang. They make you want to keep coming back!

Hi. May I know if Sir Wilson sells online or has a website? Am a newbie and I'm not from Manila. It's pretty hard to get camera accessories if one is not from Manila. Thanks!
