I'm sure many of you have read this (http://www.luminous-landscape.com/columns/sm-02-12-15.shtml), but for the benefit of those who haven't, it's an interesting read.
I first picked up on this site way back in 2003 - before I even got my first camera!
Being one of my first "photographic mentors" (if only in spirit), Mike Johnston is the reason behind a LOT of my photographic thought, behind a lot of the decisions I make - whether they be in choice of lens (It's still Zeiss and Pentax, baby, just like the old days.) or in my method of framing and composition. There's always a little bit of him there.
If you've the time, I thoroughly recommend reading all the articles on the site (and stop by Alain Briot's column as well!) You can't go wrong with anything. He's a smart, witty, funny and insightful writer with just the right bit of curmudgeon in him.
