Hi, Jay. Hi, Ross!
What should I use to wash softboxes, especially the white cloth that got dirty over the years? Will powdered soap and cold water do?
Also, what paint can I use to repaint the silver reflector material on the inside of the softbox? Latex? Acrylic?

Sundee...I only wash the diffuser cloth with soap and water. You may want to try a white textile paint instead in repainting the insides of the box. if you can find silver why not.

Hi Sundee,
Jay is right, after washing the cloth with normal detergent, huwag mong pigain para hindi malukot, instead pagpagin mo ito pagkatapos isampay mo na.
Normally acrylic paint cracks on cloth, kaya textile paint lang talaga pwede dyan, kaya lang medyo transparent ang textile paint when you apply it, sana mayrong silver color.but you have to apply first the pigment textile white, when it dries that's the time you can paint over the silver textile. Vinyl paint (used in umbrellas) is another option pero matindi ang amoy nito. Siguro check out the cost of the paint against the cost of a new softbox.
Hey thanks for dropping by last night:)

Thanks, Ross, Jay!
That's how it is talaga when you work with second hand equipment. At least I'll get to use them once they're clean and repainted.
Regards! Ross, see you in court!
Badminton court, of course!

Ross, knowing Sundee...he might have the diffuser fabric dry cleaned :) Seriously now, Sundee, you can also have the diffuser fabric replaced. Just buy white taffeta cloth in Divisoria. Purchase a length of Velcro and bring these to your seamstress for sewing. Just as Ross also suggested, try the vinyl type of paint and see if it will adhere to the 'reflector' fabric of the softbox.
