Earl Gonzalez 09-05-2006, 05:38 PM This is literally breathtaking Caloy! :) Thanks for sharing.
levi lacandula 09-05-2006, 06:36 PM very impressive!
now you've convinced me to go with you on your next dive :)
Earl Gonzalez 09-05-2006, 06:39 PM I guess for starters... I'd need a ziplock bag and my P&S... Will this cut-it for beginners if ever? :)
levi lacandula 09-05-2006, 06:47 PM I guess for starters... I'd need a ziplock bag and my P&S... Will this cut-it for beginners if ever? :)
earl dont think so... based from the photos its seems to be too deep for the ziplock to be effective. i might be wrong though... lets hear it from the experts...
joel_escala 09-05-2006, 06:55 PM @ Caloy, I'm always amazed with underwater photos... :), these are awesome! ... :)
Earl Gonzalez 09-05-2006, 07:13 PM earl dont think so... based from the photos its seems to be too deep for the ziplock to be effective. i might be wrong though... lets hear it from the experts...
:D ha ha ha... It's my overblown wishful thinking my friend... I was under the impression that maybe it's possible at a certain depth... Pero muka ngang malalim... :D
caloy_samson 09-05-2006, 08:01 PM Thanks for the responses everyone...fattens the heart really.
Neil - rig is a simple pns CANON A95, inon D2000w strobe and 105 WAL and UCL 165.
Earl - please don't even try it...there are available housings. Mahal nga lang po:Grin:
Levi - just a result of the photo workshop I took with Jon Aguirre (DPP member) last week with Mike Veitch (see his website www.bigblueimages.com (http://www.bigblueimages.com) ). So when, bro?:)
Joel - start of a downhill spiral for my bank account...thinking real hard when to house my Dslr. Thanks for the comment.
ps - Depth was 30 to 60 feet...
levi lacandula 09-05-2006, 10:38 PM @ caloy

i think i need to get more dives under my belt before going into UW photography.:)
awesome work man!
ohhhhh... oo nga pala... the diving part also has it's own learning-curve. :D Well, atleast I can forget about the equipment part first and just concentrate on diving lessons instead...
Jonix Aguirre 09-06-2006, 09:35 AM UW photo eb anyone?
@earl: don't try using a ziplock bag. there are less cruel ways to kill a camera.
i've said this before sir caloy...awesome blues!
caloy_samson 09-06-2006, 09:36 AM Guys, scuba equipment are also expensive:).
To house a DSLR with Strobes, arms and tray I would need around $2,500. We're only talking about a hobby here...aruy..
@Jon - thanks pards...peaceful background, ain't it?
Jonix Aguirre 09-06-2006, 09:57 AM i miss the sea already
caloy_samson 09-06-2006, 10:09 AM 3 more weeks...

neil.castano 09-06-2006, 11:06 AM jonix agrees for an eb for underwater photographers, this would be a day trip/overnight in anilao... anyone interested of joining so we could have a new thread and set the date?
caloy_samson 09-06-2006, 11:18 AM Poch - nah, simple "Samson" lang yan. I think the "sig" is just too dark (lower left side corner of the pic), this one has except its on the lower right corner.
