I've had the R390 for some time now and i just recently replaced my inks with the T081 high capacity cartridges.. problem is, the printer doesnt recognize the newly replaced inks..

any idea how i can get around this?

You either stuck in the wrong cartridge or have a defective chip on the cartridge. If these are Epson carts, send them back to where you got them from since they are under warranty.

Just bought new cartridges to replace the defective ones.

I will have them replaced soon... these things are not cheap! They better replace it! Hehehehe!
